I had a really nice stay at this lodge, enjoying stunning views over the paddy fields and spacious rooms. While the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, the dining experience was somewhat limited due to the remote location. Some quirks in the room arrangements also made it less ideal. Overall, it was a comfortable experience but could benefit from minor updates.

Rooms

The room was spacious with a large comfortable bed and a lovely balcony, though there were some quirks like the washbasin not being in the bathroom.
Service
9.0
The service was excellent, with very friendly and accommodating staff who were eager to help.
Location
9.0
The location was fantastic with stunning views and plenty of activities to explore in the area, although it could get busy with other tourists.
Dining
7.0
The restaurant offered a good selection, especially at breakfast, but dinner options felt limited and more basic due to the remote location.
Facilities

The facilities were decent, including the pool, but some areas showed signs of needing a refresh.

While the hotel boasts beautiful views over rice paddy fields and has lovely facilities, my experience had significant ups and downs. The rooms, though spacious, had some cleanliness issues and an unpleasant odor, leading us to leave early. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, which added a nice touch, but the noise from nearby karaoke detracted from the peace we were hoping for.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were spacious, but they had an unpleasant, moldy smell that was quite off-putting.
Service

The staff were very friendly and eager to assist, especially the receptionist who helped make our stay more pleasant.
Location
6.0
The location offers stunning views, but the loud karaoke music at night makes it hard to enjoy the tranquility.
Dining

Dining was a letdown; the breakfast was not up to par with what I expected for the price, though the dinner was alright.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel had good facilities, including a pool and bicycles for exploring the area, although some bikes needed maintenance.

My stay at this resort was quite interesting with stunning views over the rice fields and mountains. While the location has a rustic charm and great opportunities for walking and experiencing village life, it might not suit everyone, especially those with mobility issues. The staff were accommodating, and the overall vibe was pleasant. However, the facilities and dining options needed a bit of improvement, and I found some aspects, like the uncomfortable balcony seating, to be quirky rather than cozy.

I loved the private bungalow we stayed in, which offered breathtaking views of the surrounding rice fields. However, the layout included some uneven steps that made access to the restaurant and pool a bit tricky.
Service
9.0
The staff were really charming and attentive, going above and beyond to cater to dietary restrictions, which I truly appreciated. Their effort to make our stay enjoyable stood out.
Location
8.0
Nestled amidst the mountains, the resort is in a beautiful place, offering a peaceful escape from the busyness of city life. Yet, I did feel a bit guilty relaxing while locals worked hard in the fields around us.
Dining
6.0
Dining was a mixed bag; while the food was good and tailored to individual needs, the limited menu options left something to be desired. Breakfast had room for improvement.
Facilities
5.0
The pool area could have been better maintained, and the unique outdoor shower concept was appealing but could use some privacy enhancements.

My stay at Mai Chau Ecolodge was filled with beautiful scenery and memorable experiences, but there were some drawbacks. The breathtaking views from our suite truly stood out, along with the nice dining experiences and the activities offered on-site. However, the humidity of the lodges and the condition of the bicycles left something to be desired. Overall, it's a mixed bag of relaxing luxury and a few frustrating inconveniences.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were large and nicely decorated, but I did notice the humidity made them a bit stinky. It's important to be cautious about the balcony views as some overlook electrical transformers.
Service

The service was quite commendable, with the staff being friendly and accommodating. Our guide Vuong made our hiking experience unforgettable.
Location

The location is stunning, nestled in the hills with views of the rice fields and mountains surrounding us. It was a peaceful getaway, though it sometimes felt crowded with tourists.
Dining

Dining was a highlight of our stay. The food was delightful and authentic, exceeding our expectations.
Facilities

While the facilities included a lovely pool, I was disappointed by the state of the bicycles available for rent, which were noisy and had broken brakes. This made my thoughts about safety rather concerning during our rides.

My stay at the Ecolodge was truly a memorable experience. The views of the rice paddies from our lodge were absolutely stunning, and the peaceful atmosphere really made our visit special. While the dining was quite enjoyable, I did find that some areas of the layout could be a bit challenging to navigate, especially with uneven steps. Overall, it was a great escape, but not ideal for those with mobility issues.

Rooms

Our room was lovely, spacious, and provided beautiful views of the rice fields. However, a shelf under the bathroom mirror would have added some convenience.

Set in a serene valley, the location was great for immersing ourselves in local life, though getting around within the property had some challenges due to uneven steps.
